Memory Evaluation System

Our Elderly Companion is specifically designed for use in assisted living programs from ECHO housing to nursing homes. The elderly group aged 85 and older represents the fastest-growing segment of the population. It is expected to increase 43% from 1990 to 2000; and with the 1995 estimation of 800,000 residents in assisted living facilities expecting to grow by approximately 62,500 each year, the Assisted living industry can more than double its generated revenues by the year 2000. The needs of assisted living residents are primarily supportive rather than medical care. However, residents usually are experiencing some form of mental impairment. It has been estimated that more than 50% of those over 85 develop Alzheimer's disease or some other form of cognitive disorder.

Elderly Companion is a Windows-based program designed as a computer administered intake assessment form with a diagnostic pre-screening survey for memory disorders, while maintaining detailed documentation of each patient. This software also provides a relational database for patient & insurance information, visit date & time, treatment planning, outcome analysis, and assessment information. Printing options are also featured in this package.
